IE Refresh & form data loss

Using 960 Grid Fluid System that uses Mootools. In forms, when a page is refreshed all input entries are lost in IE, but not Safari/Firefox. If I comment out any of the Slide functionality within mootools js files this is no longer a problem. What can I do to maintain the slide functionality without data loss. This is particularly relevant when submitting form, validation requires an amend, and when returning to the form all data entries are lost....
